It’s a new year, so time to update! If you are a member at The Grove and have not been added to the directory in Church Center, please let the office know. If you are listed in the directory but need to update your address, email, phone number, etc. please update in Church Center or contact the office. We periodically sent text reminders and notifications, so updating your info ensures you never are left out!

  • This Sunday, Pastor Jeremiah continues our current study with Galatians 1:6-10.
  • Would you like to bless Eli and Lexi Buckner with a meal as they settle in with their baby Blake? A meal train has been established, and several dates still need to be filled. https://mealtrain.com/6r1mr8
  • As we begin a new year, you may be looking for ways to serve. One critical need is for Kids’ Ministry volunteers (must be a covenant member of The Grove and undergo a background check). For other opportunities to get connected at The Grove, please talk with David Sillman.
  • This month’s Women’s Breakfast will be held at the home of Karen Bomar with fruit, pastries, and juice being provided. The ladies are starting a study through the book of James, so it’s a great time to jump in! Childcare will be available at the church for 9:00am drop-off, and then carpooling is recommended due to limited parking area at Karen’s house. The address is 467 Rockledge Road, Spruce Pine.
  • Don’t forget to pick up your bottle for M.Y. Life Center’s Baby Bottle Fundraiser. M.Y. Life is the local pregnancy and family center serving Mitchell and Yancey Counties, and they are special friends of The Grove. Just pick up a bottle from the table in the lobby, and fill it with change, cash, or a check to help out this very worthwhile mission. Your bottles should be dropped back off at the table by February 11th. See Suzanne Honeycutt for more info.
  • The Grove is planning Baptism Sunday for Feb. 25th! If you feel that God is leading you in that direction, please let one of the pastors/elders know as soon as possible so they can walk with you through your public profession of faith.
Home Groups resume the week of Feb 18th! Home Group leader training is scheduled for the evening of Sunday, Feb 4th at 5:30. Dinner and childcare will be provided, so please RSVP.
Giving Statements have been sent via email. Let us know if you didn’t receive yours, or if a paper copy is preferred. This is also a good time to update your email, phone number, address, etc. with the office so we can better communicate with you.
    – It’s never too early to start thinking of summer! TVR Camp Week for Grove kids will be June 17-22. See Katie Oakley or Jana Dark for details.
  • Did you know that The Grove offers its members and regular attenders the free gift of a subscription to the Dwell Bible app and RightNow Media where you can stream tons of videos, Bible studies, etc.? If you have never taken advantage of our gift to you but would find these useful, please contact the office so we can add you!
