Sunday, February 8th Announcements
Winter Events – Mark your calendars for the following dates:
- Meal Bag Ministry – We will distribute bags on Thursdays from 3-6pm
- Church Potluck & Next Steps Class: We will be having our church-wide potluck following the service today with a Next Steps class to follow.
- Youth Group – Kicking off on Wednesday, February 18th! Youth 7th grade and up are welcome to join us from 6:30-8:00. Snacks will be provided.
- Home Groups – Home group registration is open! These groups start the week of February 15th and run through the week of May 17th, with a break for Easter. Check out our website to register: https://www.thegrovesp.com/https-www-thegrovesp-com-groups/.
- Women’s Ministry Dinner & Movie Night: The Women’s Ministry will be having their first meet-up on Friday, February 20th in Asheville. We will be having dinner together at 5:30pm at Luella’s BBQ and then heading over to the theater at 6:40pm for “I Can Only Imagine 2.” If you have questions about this event or how to rsvp and purchase your ticket, contact Suzanne.
- Driving: We will be having carpool options available from church. If you would like to drive or set up a carpool from your area, please let us know.
- Dinner: We will be meeting at Luella’s BBQ at 5:30pm. It would be helpful for us to have a count so we can save seats so please reach out to Suzanne or our office to RSVP. The address for dinner is: 33 Town Square Asheville, NC
- Movie: You are also welcome to just meet us at the theater if you can’t come for dinner. The theater is Regal Biltmore Grande Theater (292 Thetford, Asheville). We are asking ladies to purchase their tickets online and to try and purchase tickets for the 6:40pm showing in row G if possible.

- We never want finances to be the reason someone is not able to join us for an event. Please reach out to the office and we would love to help cover the cost of your ticket if we can.

Teaching & Scripture Overview: This Sunday, Josh Benfield will teach from Acts 24:1-27. Next week, Colton Burse will be teaching from Acts 25:1-27.
Opportunities to Serve: The Grove has many opportunities for our members and regular attenders to “plug in” and serve. Examples include helping with setup and cleaning after church of the hospitality coffee bar, setting up communion in the sanctuary, reading the announcements at the end of the service, serving in Kids’ Ministry (must be a covenant member with a clear background check), being a part of the worship team or the audio/video team, setting up and tearing down for special events, etc. Please let Brianna (office@thegrovesp.com) know if you would like more information.
Updating Church Membership: As we prepare to update our church membership, please take a moment this week to read through the updated doctrine statement and membership covenant. These documents will be available in the lobby or you can contact our office for a copy. We are asking for all current members to resign a copy of the membership covenant.
