Sunday, March 15th Announcements

Winter Events – Mark your calendars for the following dates:

  • Meal Bag Ministry – We will distribute bags on Thursdays from 3-6pm
  • Youth Group – Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 at the church. Snacks will be provided.
  • Home Groups – Home group registration is open and groups are in full swing! These groups run through the week of May 17th, with a break for Easter. Click here to register for a Home Group.
  • Good Friday Event –You’re invited to spend Good Friday with The Grove as we travel to Kingsport, TN, to experience the Andrew Peterson Easter concert “The Resurrection Letters”. Transportation is provided! The bus will aim to leave The Grove at 5:00 pm on the day of the show, but of course, you are welcome to drive yourself if you prefer. PLEASE keep in mind that we will not have time to stop and eat before the show! Event tickets are $33.85 each. We understand this can add up for families, but please don’t let this stop you from attending. The Grove will pay for any tickets required beyond 2 per family, and will be happy to help with the rest if cost is still a concern. Click here to register for the Good Friday concert.
  • Women’s Ministry Events:
    • Sunday, March 22nd – Hike at Roan Mountain. Leaving from the church around 2pm on Sunday with carpooling options available. No RSVP required.
    • Friday, April 24th – Girl Talk Podcast Live Taping/Concert. We will plan to offer carpooling from the church with an option to eat dinner as a group somewhere before or you are able to meet at the event. Registration through the church will only be available until March 23rd so get your tickets soon. This event is free and more information can be found at the registration link.   • Youth Ministry Events:
    • Spring Youth Retreat (April 17-19th) – The youth are headed to Greenville, SC for their spring retreat. The cost is $75/person and registration can be completed on the church center app. Click here to register for the youth retreat.

Teaching & Scripture Overview: This Sunday, Mark Krauss taught from Genesis 1 in our new short series “The Kingdom of God.” Next week, Colton Burse will continue this series in Genesis 3:1-10 and Daniel 9:1-15.

Opportunities to Serve: The Grove has many opportunities for our members and regular attenders to “plug in” and serve. Examples include helping with setup and cleaning after church of the hospitality coffee bar, setting up communion in the sanctuary, reading the announcements at the end of the service, serving in Kids’ Ministry (must be a covenant member with a clear background check), being a part of the worship team or the audio/video team, setting up and tearing down for special events, etc. Please let Brianna (office@thegrovesp.com) know if you would like more information.

Updating Church Membership: As we prepare to update our church membership, please take a moment this week to read through the updated doctrine statement and membership covenant. These documents will be available in the lobby or you can contact our office for a copy. We are asking for all current members to resign a copy of the membership covenant.
